About

"What we need to learn to do is to look at thought, rather than from thought."
― Steven C. Hayes

My work as a therapist, whether with individuals (adults and teens), couples, or families, focuses on slowing down and noticing the powerful, albeit overlooked, forces in our lives. I specialize in using mindfulness-based techniques to help client’s combat stress and find more peaceful lives. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I also specialize in working with couples in conflict, families coping with trauma/grief, individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as other issues related to stress.

I spend most of my time as the coordinator of the MFT program at California State University, Chico. I enjoy helping new therapists navigate the professional landscape and supervising their clinical work. I have a PhD. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kansas State University and training in mindfulness-based treatment approaches, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other useful therapy models.

My goal is to provide a safe comfortable environment for you to consider fragile and vulnerable parts of your life, relationships, or family. If you have any questions about the therapy process, feel free to reach out.

I am a licenced Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California (licence number CA #107309)
